I'm Going to be a Mom!!! Week #45

Hi Family:

So it's weird.. because this past transfer was only 4 weeks because of the holidays. I have basically only been in Voronezh for little over two weeks because I've been in Moscow for visa stuff. So on Friday me and my companion are eating dinner and the phone starts ringing. I look at it and it was President? So I'm like why is he calling? Not even thinking about Transfers were next week. and He goes, "Hey is this sister Godfrey?? I'm calling about Transfers are you ready? I'm like ahh what??" Then he was proud to announce that I am training!! A RUSSIAN??? I was in complete shock. Just because there is only on sister coming in the Transfer and because she will be the only Russian Sister Missionary in our mission... And I'm training her??? 

It's really interesting the see how God works sometimes. We haven't been getting a ton of sister missionaries in. The last big group was my group when I came in. So for a long time I thought I would not have the chance to train, which in a way I was ok with. In the summer when I received a call for one of the transfers president asked me if I was ready to train. At that time I had been in Sokolniki for awhile and felt pretty good with everything I was doing. So I told him I was ready. But that call never came. Then as I was talking to Sister Borders one day and she was telling me all the sisters that would be coming home until I left. There was this Russian coming in and then no more sisters coming in until March. So I was like well I probably won't train the Russian. Especially because I just got into Voronezh and I can't really train in March when I'm leaving the next transfer. So I was pretty sad thinking that I would never get to be a mom on the mish.. But ha I guess I was completely wrong!! What's funny though is I'm in a new area that I hardly know and that's when Heavenly Father decides to give me a baby!! haha of course;) I'm excited though because I know I'm going to grow so much!!! I think about it though and I'm like I get to train a Russian!! So I don't have to deal with the language struggle and like the culture shock, I'm sure it's going to be so hard in different ways, but I'm stoked that I get to finally serve with a real Russian!! The only Sister Russian Missionary in the mission:) and she's my baby!! Haha so will see how it goes!!! It was cool because that girl that I told you about about the split and how I got to share my story, she wrote me and I guess she is struggling too, but she said being with me was her favorite day so far in Russia and that she misses me and stuff. So that made me feel really good!! I get to go into moscow again for the 50th time.. holy smokes!! haha but yeah so things are good! i'm scared because I don't know this area at all.. but it's going to be good:) Sister Dutson has been awesome!! I guess the president was going to put me back with sister Biorn, but he felt like I needed to train!

So big news... I'm going to be a mom!!!!!!! I'm training a Russian can you believe it??? I'm still shocked and freaking the freak out.. but it's going to be good haha that's the big news for the week:) I'll tell more in my weekly email. But yeah nuts!! That's sooo cool about AL!!! Meg told me she was turning in her papers... so I've known all along;) haha I'm so excited for her though!!! That's nuts Shanie is engaged!! ahh so cool!!! But about Kayla!! I saw her right when she got here:) She's so sweet and she seemed like she was doing ok!! She's not the girl I went on splits with, but she has a great trainer!! and I don't know it's going to be hard for everyone in the beginning that's just how it is. but if I see her I will let her know:) It was cool because that girl that I told you about about the split and how I got to share my story, she wrote me and I guess she is struggling too, but she said being with me was her favorite day so far in Russia and that she misses me and stuff.
