Week #33 - I Love Where I'm At

I guess you can say that Heavenly Father really blessed me this pass week. We had lessons all over the place which is completely rare;) But it was way awesome to help members, less actives, and investigators. Unfortunately Masha couldn't meet this week.. But we did have a miracle lesson with this girl I contacted on the Street. Her name is Kristina and she is a translator. So she speaks perfect English, which I swear everyone in Moscow speaks English. I don't know if I like it because my Russian doesn't get any better haha. But she decided to meet with us and it turned out to be an incredible lesson!! She was so open about everything and you can tell that she is searching for something, but she doesn't know what? Every question or comment she had led right into the gospel. I don't know if I've ever had a lesson go so smoothly.. She wants to meet this next week so fingers crossed that she is really interested in our message.

Something that really stood out to me this week was that fact that I need to be grateful that I am on a mission. I don't know if you remember from last weeks email about the girl who had to come home early from her mission because she was sick? Anyways she's been helping us a ton. And one night we were at our senior couples house, we had just gotten done with a lesson and she was just crying. I gave her a hug and asked what's wrong and she just said she wish she was a missionary again. She wishes so badly that she can wear the missionary tag with her name and Christ's name on it. She didn't have a choice to come home.. She had to because she was really ill.. and right now she is living in Moscow to receive treatments for her sickness.. But when that experience happened it just made me realize that people would die to do what I'm doing right now. I remember when I was in the MTC teachers would always tell us they wish they could switch places with us.. I just thought they were crazy.. But the more I'm out here the more I realize what an amazing opportunity it is to be a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. And to be set apart as a servant of god. I know there are so many times where I just want to give up. I don't want to wake up at 6:30 anymore or I don't want to yell in this ladies ear on the metro. But then I think about my calling and my purpose. And how I should be so grateful that I have the opportunity to serve and be a servant to the lord. In the end this was my choice anyways. No one forced me to be here. Girls have the choice and I made that choice. And I need to have confidence in my choice! I know I'm not a perfect missionary.. not even close! And I probably never will be. But I'm grateful to be here and to try. That's all that matters:) Because I know that this is where I need to be and these are the people that I need to be helping at this exact time and place:)

Really quick I want to share a funny story.. of course it's about another drunk guy.. haha but we were just eating at McDonalds and this guy comes up to us completely drunk. He was pretty young too.. and he starts talking to us. Usually when drunk men talk to us we just act like we don't speak Russian. And the best part is they always try to speak English.. So this guy starts speaking English.. well attempting.. and he asks us how he looks? Like if we like his outfit or whatever? Then he turns to me and tells me to shut my mouth. He turns to my companion and goes YOU! How do I look? haha then he starts touching me and putting his hands on me. He ended up grabbing both our hands and kissing it and then all of a sudden this young guy walks up to him and commands him to leave us alone!!!! Which has never happened to me before. A man has never done anything like that for me before!! So that was way cool!! Ah but I was laughing way hard.. haha drunk guys.. got to love them:) anyways have a great week:) BYE

Hey Mum:)

I got your package and I LOVED IT!!! I made the office elders bring it all the way to the church to give it to me.. and they were so nice to do so:) haha But I loved it thank you so so much. It means the world to me that you do all that effort and spend all that money to send me stuff. I don't need anymore packages haha you've done enough:) So thank you so much. The shampoo is awesome. I loved all the treats! and I can't wait to make the cookies:) Liana literally was dying when she saw here bag of M&M's haha I was laughing so hard. Her bath salt stuff leaked a little bit in the package, but it's all good. Well did you have a good week? My week went really well:) We got a lot done! and we got 2 new investigators, which one we have to pass, but still:) I dyed Liana's hair the other day haha that was way fun! and now my companion wants me to dye hers for the first time so will see:) I might be getting a little sick, but I'm not sure? Ha I hope not!! Umm what else.. Masha.. didn't meet with her this week so hopefully this upcoming week. But yeah. Things are good. My comp keeps talking about marriage and family and all this crazy stuff. I'm just like Ah I've still got time, why am I thinking about all this haha but yeah just trying to keep her focused. How's meg and chan doing? How's dad and the poochies? Well life is good. I'm happy. The mission is hard as always but I'm happy:) Just trying to keep going every day yano! But anyways I love you mom.
