Well... So I have been keeping something from you that I should probably tell you... I had a baptism this last SATURDAY:) two actually haha Sorry I didn't tell you really anything about these investigators.. but hey I'm going to tell you all about them right now!
So when I first got out into the field, my comp and her last comp had been teaching these twin boys. Apparently they were suppose to get baptized while I was still in the MTC.. But something happened and they fell off the face of the earth. Then I guess right when I got in they had just started meeting with them. They are two of the cutest boys. They're only 10 years old, but most of their family are members. Their dad died a couple of years ago so it's just them and their mom. The mom used to be really active until her husband died.. and then I think things just went down hill from there.. So our next step is going to be trying to reactivate her.. The cousins of the twins though are incredible. They have been helping us soooo much with them. They are probably one of the strongest families in the ward, so it's been so awesome being able to have their help and support.
So yep, this Saturday антон и артём were baptized!! Haha the best part about the whole thing is we were planning the baptism the entire week and we get a phone call literally the day before from the bishop telling us that 3 more people are getting baptized.. haha so that was really exciting yet stressful to find out!! Just because we had to plan food and all sorts of stuff. Luckily the moms of one of the kids that got baptized helped us. So that was really nice! But yeah we had 5 baptisms on Saturday haha I felt the spirit so strong though when the twins were getting baptized. Made me think of when I was baptized.. haha and all I remember was running around after.. I don't think I took my baptism that serious.. But it was cool to also see all the little 8 year olds have that experience and bring back the memories that I had from my baptism. The best part about the whole thing though is on Sunday when they received the holy ghost, Anton turned to us and said I feel like a different person.. There is something that I'm feeling right now that I can't explain.. Haha Ahhh the spirit is just so awesome :) I must say though.. I can't take all the credit for their baptism just because I came in at the end! But I can say I was apart of it so that was awesome:)
Another awesome thing that happened was Dasha came to the baptism!! haha and we haven't even taught her or anything?? I decided I was going to call her and just invite her and she was totally up for coming:) and she did!! We had a really good talk after the baptism. We were talking about the holy ghost and she was telling us how she was baptized in some church when she was 3. She said she liked how are church will allow us to choose to be baptized as for her she didn't really have a choice. I was explaining to her how the best part about our church is we get to find out for ourselves if it is true or not. We don't have to listen to anyone else or do what anyone else tells us because we have the ability to receive our own answer. Then we started talking about other things, but I was so grateful for that experience. She is the coolest girl and I so badly want to help her... So fingers crossed that something might happen.. will see??
Anywho yeah that was the highlight of my week:) Busy busy week, but full of excitement! Anyways I love you all. Hope everyone is staying classy. Talk to you next week!! BYE!
Mom:)
So sounds like you had a pretty awesome week:) Lots of puppies haha that would be so cool if you breaded the blue bulldogs.. Save one for me if you do!!! And then I can have it when I go to college.. yeah;) haha I'm jealous you got to go to the women's conference.. Nope we didn't get to hear it.. and the sad thing is too... Next week we don't get to watch conference.. :( we get to watch it with the ward the next week in Russian.. Which is literally killing me because I won't be able to understand anything.. So I asked the DL if he could ask president if there will be a way we can watch it.. just because that's not fare.. haha so will see!! That's so cool though about Linds!! I'm so proud of her:) She is going to be such an incredible missionary!! let me know how the lesson goes though k:) I'll be praying that it goes good!! That sucks about James.. I feel so bad.. Give him my love k!! We have ipods yes! So that's way nice. also These are some names that I was thinking of, but I like Nakita! That's one of the elders investigators names;) Vova, Deema, Seema or Seemon, Mooka, haha i don't know you choose:) And then let me know! Um language.. gosh I don't know? I honestly don't know how I'm doing. I feel like I'm not doing good.. My comp says I am.. but who knows? I had a melt down this week haha so yeah but I'm good! I just need to be patient.. I know.. That's cool Landon wrote you!! i'm not going to lie.. I'm really having a hard time with him coming home so soon and me not being there. Like I know it's good, but it just really hard. and I think when he is actually coming home is when it's going to be even more hard.. but I can do it haha hopefully.. I don't know the mission has really made me realize what a great person he is and what I want maybe in the future.. I know I shouldn't be thinking about it right now, but haha I don't know you think so much on the mish!! But yeah haha But I'm glad things are going good:) Thank you for all you do mom. I love you so much. Hope you have a great week k!!
